Clothes: Trent wears black combat boots along with black tactical pants and then a dark colored shirt of some sort. It’s longsleeved on his right, but short on his left to expose his scarring. His shirts are usually torn around various places from wear and age and other damage. He wears the PPDC logo on the shoulders of his shirts.

Overview:
Trent is someone who's cocky and not overly social. He prefers to be off on his own, acting on his own intentions and not talking to people, since he feels like it wastes his time. When someone talks to him he usually ignores it, especially if it's something petty. If it's something important he'll pay attention and talk, since he can easily see the difference between something that needs doing and something useless to him.

Trent doesn't pride himself on intelligence, but rather on emotional control. He wasn't a good student, not book smart, but he is street smart and knows what he's doing. He doesn't see the need for math or history or chemistry while he's in a Jaeger. He'd rather just jump in and fight. He enjoys fighting, although he's not the best, and loses as much as he wins, in normal fights. With a Jaeger the odds change.

He hasn't seen his parents in years, and has no need to go back. He hasn't been back to London for some time either. He loves his home, but has no attachment, no need to go back. He's not overly close with anyone either, not even Liam Cordray during their time as co-pilots of Anubis Sin. He's closest to his sister, Emma, but that's pretty much because they're co-pilots now.

Trent has learned not to bring anything into the Drift, making Drifting easier with him. He doesn't like to see the memories of the other person, and ignores them as much as he can to keep a high percentage during the neural handshake.

Trent has no strategies that he sticks to, for the most part. He changes as he goes and tries to be unpredictable. He prefers to always be different, so as to never tip another off, especially Kaiju, if they do learn. He wears his scars as a badge of honor, for the most part, but despises the Kaiju.

Overall, he's a smart-ass, anti-social, cocky, not very social, aloof, distant. He challenges authority when he doesn't like a call, but is smart enough not to pursue things too far with his superiors. Without being a Ranger, he wouldn't be sure where to go with his life.


Trent's father worked in construction, and his mother worked as an elementary school teacher. They didn't have a lot of money as a family, but they got by. Trent was in his mother's class when he went through school, and soon after they had another child; Trent's sister, Emma. He bonded with his sister, but the six year age gap eventually lessened that bond and friendship as he grew more immature and she remained young.

Later, although, when both reached another level of maturity, they'd bond again and have a better life together. Trent went through school but didn't do overly well. He got into a number of fights, winning and losing equally. He had no real goal in life, which was saddening for his parents, especially as Emma began to get better grades and presumably get her future on track.

He was 17 when K-Day hit. Trent remembered watching in awe as Trespasser tore through anything that was thrown at it. He was in fear, in shock, and when it was all over, grieved, grieved for everyone lost, for the people it could have been, had it hit London instead of the States. After K-Day, Trent became darker and more reclusive, getting into more fights.

And then the second Kaiju attack hit. And then a third, and fourth, with only nuclear weapons as an option for killing them. When the Kaiju known as Karloff attacked, and was killed by Brawler Yukon, the first Jaeger, Trent was amazed, and wanted to be able to do something. He enlisted in the PPDC and entered into its pilot program.

Trent had a hard road ahead of him, since he fought, but wasn't as good as others. He made up for it with heart and determination, and all of the grief he held after the first attack. It was because he didn't take anything into the Drift with him. He was assigned to be the pilot of a Jaeger from Egypt, known as Anubis Sin.

Anubis Sin managed to kill three Kaiju in its time before being covered in Kaiju Blue. Afterwards, stained, it became known as Anubis Blue and fought a few more times, scoring two more kills before the Jaeger was defeated.

During Anubis' final battle, the Kaiju bit into the left portion of the Jaeger. Trent, being the left, felt the pain. The Kaiju in question had a second head inside of its mouth, smaller, more like a shark's head in size. It tore through the cockpit as the main mouth bit, and tried to kill the pilots.

Trent's left arm was bitten, and the teeth tore through his Drivesuit, leaving him scarred. Anubis Blue was able to kill the Kaiju, but Trent retired due to his injury, and Anubis was retired.

When the Jaeger Program went down, Trent found minimal work, using disability due to his arm. He became more reclusive after that, and never saw his family. He drifted, fought (as stupid as it was), and not much else.

When Gipsy Danger was destroyed and the Breach was locked, his sister Emma found him, seeing him for the first time in years. She had joined the PPDC as well in a scientific position. She encouraged him to come back and fight, since pilots were still needed with the Jaeger Program being brought back. It took time for him to agree, but he chose to return, piloting the new German Jaeger Schneider Blur on the right side, due to his arm.

Emma joined him as co-pilot, since the sibling bond would be stronger than that of a bond with a stranger, like last time. So far the Derringer siblings have no kills, and have only fought once in a support capacity, since the Kaiju attacks are limited at the moment. They expect few kills, since Schneider is a support Jaeger more than anything.
