Pan Pacific Defense Corps: Founded in 2014, the Corps are the organization that mobilizes and creates the Jaegers for the fight against the Kaiju. It is an international alliance composed of 21 nations across the Pacific Rim, bound together by the shared goal of defeating the monsters at their door, and saving their people.

• Jaegers: Jaegers are giant robotic exo-skeletons (or mecha) built via the Jaeger Program, designed to be piloted by a two-pilot system, wherein both pilots are neural linked through the Drift. Jaegers are the only thing capable of fighting Kaiju effectively. Jaeger pilots hold the class of "Ranger", while the commanders are called "Marshalls"

[/a]: When the Kaiju proved to be too hard to stop with conventional weaponry and tactics, the world governments poured their resources together and developed the Jaeger Program, meant to fund and develop the Jaegers for the fight for humanity.[/ul]

[/b] solo is rather suicidal, it has been proven to be possible recently. Solo Jaegers are smaller in size and are not made for killing Kaiju, but merely slowing them down and wounding them. It puts a great deal of stress on the solo Ranger, however.[/ul]

• Shatterdome: Shatterdomes are large facilities built to house many Jaegers, along with acting as a base of operations, and be staffed for repair and support services for the Jaegers.
• Drift: Drifting is the ability of two Jaeger pilots to merge their minds and thoughts together for the sake of becoming a more effective fighting force. Drifting is the only way to pilot a Jaeger, due to the necessity of a two-pilot system. Pilots that are Drift-compatible are often siblings, or those who have a similar mindset and can work well together.

[/a]: The Drivesuit is a suit worn by the Jaeger pilots to connect to the Jaeger systems. The suits also provide protection to the Ranger pilot during combat with a Kaiju as they're smashed around in the cockpit.

Precursors: The Precursors are a race of colonizing aliens that create the Kaiju and conquer worlds. Their newest target is Earth, but they have been thwarted by the actions of Gipsy Danger and her pilots, at least for now.

• Kaiju: Amphibious giant monsters created by the Precursors, genetically engineered to conquer and destroy anything in their path. The Earth's only real defense against the monstrous Kaiju are the Jaegers. They first began appearing in 2013, and come in various categories, based on size, weight, and other factors. Due to being made in assembly lines, they are built, and as such continue to be adapted to the newest weapons and abilities the Jaegers can use against them. Skin parasites cling to the Kaiju.
  

[/a]: The blood of a Kaiju, highly toxic to Earth as well as humans. It stains anything it touches.[/ul]

The Breach: A portal located somewhere in the Pacific Ocean, it is a gate between Earth and the Anteverse. Only with Kaiju DNA will the Breach open and allow passage in either direction, otherwise anything will simply bounce off.

• The Anteverse: The kaleidoscopic alien homeworld of the Kaiju and the Precursors. The world is biomechanical and barren, covered in alien storms, fitted with Kaiju assembly lines and a portal - the Breach - to Earth.
